I'm Nicolas, a proud Italian living in New York City, but Italy will always be my home. I have a deep passion for everything Italy; the food, the language, the culture, and the people. That's why I started this blog - to help everyone who comes to visit my amazing country get the most out of their trip.
As an Italian living in New York City, I often reflect on the unique experiences that have shaped my life. Born and raised in the Sicilian countryside, I was taught from a young age to appreciate the simple pleasures in life, from harvesting fresh tomatoes in my family's garden to making homemade pasta with locally-sourced ingredients. These values have stayed with me, even as I've traveled across the world and experienced a vastly different way of life.
Living in New York City has been a challenge, to say the least. The hustle and bustle of this fast-paced metropolis can be overwhelming at times, and the lack of cultural connection I've felt here has been a real struggle. However, it was through this struggle that I discovered my true passion - sharing my Sicilian heritage with the world.
Through social media, I've been able to reach people all over the world and share my unique perspective. From showcasing my family's traditional recipes to sharing footage of the stunning Sicilian landscape, I've found that my message has resonated with people from all walks of life. My hope is that my story will inspire others to never give up on their own dreams, no matter where they come from or what challenges they may face.
Growing up, I always appreciated the values instilled in me by my family. One memory that stands out is coming back from school and my father taking me to work in the vineyard. It was a tradition in our family and a way for us to bond and learn important life lessons.
But it wasn't just about the work. My father used our time together to share stories about his own upbringing and his experiences growing up in a family of vintners. He would talk about the importance of family, tradition.
These values have stuck with me throughout my life, and I've come to appreciate their significance more each day. I've learned that nothing worth having comes easy and that the hard work and persistence needed to achieve success is truly invaluable.
But the greatest lesson that my family has taught me is the value of family itself. In a world that is becoming increasingly individualistic, I've come to realize that family is what truly matters. The bonds we share with our loved ones are more precious than anything else in this world. They give us purpose, help us through tough times, and provide us with a sense of belonging.
